In a time when environmental protection and sustainability are becoming increasingly important, EURODRILL has taken a significant step. The company was recently awarded the prestigious Ökoprofit certification, which stands for outstanding ecological performance.

Background: EURODRILL has long been committed to sustainability. By participating in the Ökoprofit program, we aimed to further improve our environmental footprint and actively contribute to climate protection. The program provides a platform to develop and implement innovative and environmentally friendly measures.

Measures: Even without the application of Ökoprofit, numerous measures have already been taken in the past. As part of the Ökoprofit program, we plan to implement further measures in the future to increase our environmental friendliness. These include:

• Installation of energy-efficient lighting systems in the paint shop,
• Optimization of heating operations in the administration wing,
• Investment in new, more efficient processing machines,
• Expanded integration of environmental aspects into the continuous improvement process (CIP).

Results: Since EURODRILL already had a very high standard, the certifier found no immediate significant potential for optimization. Our consumption of electricity, gas, and other resources is very balanced for our company size. Our waste balance is also characterized by high sustainability.

Future Plans: The Ökoprofit certification is just the beginning for us. We plan to continue investing in sustainable technologies and processes. We have already conducted initial investigations into the installation of a photovoltaic system. Our goal is to become climate-neutral by 2030 and to further expand our pioneering role in the field of sustainability.
