Drolshagen, Germany - Anniversary celebration at EURODRILL GmbH: The company which specializes in the manufacture and development of drilling drives was founded 25 years ago. EURODRILL began its business in April 1995 in a small manufacturing unit in Olpe, dealing in spare parts with just a handful of employees. Only two years later, they started developing and designing hydraulic hammers and rotary drives for anchor drilling. The product range was then proudly presented at the Bauma 1998 in Munich.
In 2001, the founding family, Klemm, withdrew from the business. In March 2001, EURODRILL GmbH became a part of the BAUER Group and – after some restructuring measures – steady growth followed. “Through innovations, experience and market intelligence, EURODRILL has evolved over the years into a global technology leader with over 70 employees,” reports Managing Director Ralf Soennecken. Whether for exploration drilling with Europe’s largest tunnel boring machine for a mammoth project in Italy or for underwater drilling in the deep sea in the Gulf of Mexico, EURODRILL develops rotary drives of the highest quality and is a trusted partner globally for a diverse range of applications.
“I always had a lot of trust and confidence in the ability of my team,” Ralf Soennecken adds. “Many employees, with whom I had already worked in the initial days, are still working with us today. Together, with hard work but also a lot of joy, we have provided expertise with highly innovative technology and can be pleased about a very good market position today.”
Unfortunately, the big anniversary celebration planned for customers and employees had to be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Nevertheless, the employees did not miss the opportunity to thank Ralf Soennecken for the successful 25 years and surprised him in June with a gift and a small celebratory drink – of course taking into account the current situation. EURODRILL has ambitious plans for the years ahead as well: “We want to further consolidate our market position as a supplier of OEM rotary drives by offering innovative solutions. Furthermore, we plan to capture new markets by expanding our product portfolio. With the development of our rock drill hammer, we want to reach the customers in the mining sector. Further sustained corporate growth can only be achieved with access to new application markets,” summarizes Ralf Soennecken. With the current plant expansion, the production facility is also primed for the planned growth objectives. The new buildings should be put into operation in spring 2021.
